Fast Pipe Repairs

Burst & Leaking Pipe Repairs

A burst pipe can flood a unit or a whole floor in minutes. We turn up fast, shut the water off, track down the break and repair it, so you can get the building dried out and back to normal.

When a pipe lets go

Burst and leaking pipes don't wait for business hours. A split line in a wall cavity, a cracked riser between floors or a failed main in a basement car park can all do real damage, and the longer the water runs the worse it gets.

We shut off the supply, find the break and repair or replace the affected section. Where access is tight we open up only what we have to, and we tell you what caused it so the building isn't back in the same spot in six months.

Strata & Commercial

Burst pipes in strata buildings

In multi-storey buildings a burst riser or common line can send water through several units at once. The trick is isolating the right line quickly so we stop the damage without shutting water off to the whole building if we don't need to.

We work with your strata manager and affected residents, make the area safe, and give you the photos and notes you'll need for the claim and the committee.

Burst pipes in commercial premises

For offices, retail and other commercial sites, a burst pipe isn't just water damage, it's lost trading time. Old galvanised pipe, corroded joints and high water pressure are common causes, and the leak often shows up in a ceiling or wall well away from the break.

We work to get your supply back on and the premises trading again with as little downtime as possible, including after hours so we're not shutting you during business hours.

What happens when we arrive

Four steps to stop the water and put the pipe right.

1

Shut off

We isolate the supply to the burst line, or the whole property if we have to, to stop water going where it shouldn't.

2

Locate

We find the break, including pipes hidden in walls, ceilings or the slab, with as little cutting as possible.

3

Repair

We repair or replace the damaged section and pressure-test it to make sure the fix holds.

4

Make good

We restore supply, tidy up, and hand over photos and notes for your insurer or strata records.

Burst pipe FAQs

What Sydney owners and strata managers ask us most.

If you can reach the water meter, turn it off at the tap to stop the flow. Switch off power to any area that's getting wet, move what you can out of the way, and put down towels or a bucket. Then leave the rest to us.
Usually age and corrosion, a faulty joint, water pressure that's too high, or movement in the building or slab. Once we've made the repair we'll tell you what we found so you can decide whether more of the line is worth replacing.
Only as much as the repair needs. We locate the break first so we can open the smallest area possible, rather than pulling apart a whole wall to go looking for it.
Many policies cover sudden water damage from a burst pipe, though it depends on your cover. We take photos and write up what happened so you have what you need to lodge a claim with your insurer or strata.
Often, yes. If the building's isolation valves allow it we shut off just the affected line so other units keep their water. If the valves don't allow it we'll let the building know before we isolate anything wider.
